A Closer Look at the Birth of Fallen Consciousness- 2
In this article I continue to take a closer look at the birth of fallen consciousness, but now I’m writing about the fall of those who fell due to birth trauma.
I am following the teachings of Lord Maitreya in His book[1] and Mother Mary’s book Your Life Plan for Abundance[2]
The ‘Edenic’ Self’s Death
Who was the Edenic Self of which the Masters speak? It was the Self connected to the spiritual realm – as an extension of the I am Presence – that descended to earth to incarnate in a ‘vehicle’ of the same substance of the material world in order to grow from there.
This was a self that, at the beginning of its incarnation, had only a ‘dot-like’ point of awareness, and was ‘innocent’ in the sense that Lord Maitreya speaks of it, was the self with ‘innocent ignorance’ that was guided by the Masters when it was still in the schoolroom of the etheric plan of the earth, as I described in another article.
This self was connected to its source of spiritual light coming from the spiritual realm – the I am Presence – and it was assumed that it would spend the time on earth experimenting with duality consciousness for a while, without being trapped by it, and then graduate from the schoolroom of earth.
However, for a long time now the Earth has ceased to be a natural planet. Its inhabitants refused to transcend themselves and the fallen beings were allowed to incarnate here and also inhabit the 3 higher levels of the material plane: the emotional, the mental and the lower identity plane.
These beings, after their fall, did everything in their power to bring as many beings as possible to fall with them, with the intention of proving that God was wrong in His plan for creation, having turned the Earth into an unnatural planet.
And since that time, they have tried to prevent all beings that inhabit the Earth from growing, they have tried to stop the spiritual growth of the inhabitants of the Earth and block the possibility of their ascension from the planet.
And when beings from other planets were allowed to incarnate on Earth to counterbalance the presence of the fallen beings – the so-called avatars – the fallen beings were particularly cruel to them, in order to undermine from the outset any possible effect they could have on the spiritual progress of the planet and its inhabitants.
To do this they used the process of creating a birth trauma in their first incarnation on the planet. This trauma was so intense that it sabotaged the avatars’ spiritual growth and prevented them from fulfilling their mission of keeping the balance on Earth.
It was in the aftermath of this birth trauma that the innocent ‘Edenic self’ died and beings fell due to birth trauma.
What Happened to the Spiritual Self in the Birth -Trauma
The ‘Edenic self’ incarnated on earth is the conscious you, the localized awareness of the individualized I am presence on earth. The conscious you is an extension of the I am Presence which cannot incarnate in it’s totality in the world of form.
The conscious you expresses itself on earth through the 4 material bodies – 3 of which are the same in all incarnations and one is created in every incarnation – the physical body.
The natural order of things is that the conscious you takes command of the four material bodies while it is on earth, growing in awareness and filling its sphere of being with the spiritual light that comes from the I am Presence.
In this natural order the spiritual rules the physical, the conscious you was created to take dominion over the material world and its material bodies.
However, with the birth trauma, the fallen beings managed to reverse this natural order, making matter to take control over the spirit. How did they do this?
In the birth trauma they created such an intensity of pain in the physical body that the conscious you couldn’t focus its attention elsewhere: it identified with the pain because it was so intense that all the attention of the conscious you was focused on the physical body.
The conscious you is what it focuses on so, when it was focused on the intense pain in the physical body, the conscious you created the belief that «I am this physical body that can suffer and can be killed or tortured».
This identification with the body created in the emotional body the extreme fear of ceasing to exist and this fear was stored in the emotional body with the association of the extreme fear of death.
So, from the physical body, the experience of extreme pain created the panic of dying in the emotional body and this fear was elevated to the mental body where the belief “I am a vulnerable being, a mortal being that suffers and can die” was created.
This mental matrix managed to change even the sense of identity in the identity body, where the identification with the mortal being, a being that can’t do anything for itself to prevent pain and death, gave birth to a new sense of self , a new self that was disconnected from the identity body that holds our identity as spiritual beings ,temporarily incarnated in the material world to take dominion of that world as co-creators with God.
From the bottom up, the mortal-self took control of the mind and disconnected the identity from its spiritual source, the I am presence. This happened because the conscious you created the belief in the trauma that it could not face the challenges of the material world, so it needed a new self to do so. And by this they fell due to the birth trauma.
And as it gradually became more and more focused on the mortal self than on the I am Presence, at some point the conscious you forgot that it was a spiritual being, not a material being.
This led to the ‘fall’ into the separate mind, with the consequent change in the sense of identity, which began to identify with the body and with life on planet Earth. From that moment on, which is shared by a large number of Earth’s inhabitants, the conscious you began to see itself as a mortal being, the result of the general evolution of life on Earth.
It forgot that descended to Earth from the spiritual realm to incarnate in a physical body, and take dominion of this material world and that it was more than that physical body.
The Need to Restore the Spiritual Sense of Identity
If we are to return to our spiritual identity, we must restore the normal flow from the spiritual plane to the physical, which was reversed by the Fall.
The self, created on the material plane cannot be perfected to become immortalized. Only the Self that has ‘descended’ into the material world can ‘ascend’ from here to return to the spiritual plane.
Until the sense of identity is reverted to its original state, many inhabitants of Earth remain in the state of ‘fallen’ due to birth trauma.
Therefore, the main factor of the spiritual path is an internal work of liberation from the subconscious selves created in the material world that have taken control and direction of our lives. This will purify the material bodies, allowing us to be more free.
But it is a work for many lifetimes, depending on when we began to ‘look within’.
The Masters have called this process of ‘working our psychology’.
