Becoming Aware of Doubt in Us – Overcoming the Self that Doubts
In this post I am writing about the doubt in us and overcoming the self that doubts.
Doubt as a Psychological Mechanism of Self-defence
Most beings incarnating on Earth at this time have a long history, since they fell into duality, of not being able to manifest what they wanted on the physical plane.
As the lack of results repeated itself, they created a self out of the belief that ‘we humans can’t change the matter around us, we can’t manifest what we want’.
This self is stored in our material bodies, from the emotional body where we feel the disappointment, or anger, or frustration, to the mental body, where we hold the belief ‘we are powerless to change the world’ and going up to the identity body where we feel ‘I am a powerless being’.
This is something that most people can agree with, because they still feel that ‘it’s not worth trying because I already know I won’t succeed’.
Of course, related to this self is another, also very common, which says ‘I am not worthy to fulfil my desires on earth, I am a sinner,’ or I have made so much karma in the past that I will never get anything from this world but disappointment.
And it is at this point that many people shrug their shoulders and give up, believing that it’s ‘not worth it’ to fight for what is not going to happen, adopting an attitude of passivity that confirms their belief in their powerlessness to change the circumstances of their lives.
The projection of fallen beings onto the earth reinforces these feelings and beliefs, both in relation to the avatars I have already mentioned, and in relation to other beings who inhabit the earth.
It is of the utmost interest to these hidden beings that humanity believes that they ‘cannot do anything’ to change the circumstances of their lives, for the less they believe that this is possible, the more passive they are and the easier they are to control by these forces.
And even those who are already at a level and consciousness above the level of the collective consciousness of the majority have enormous difficulties in overcoming this doubt in us, in these different nuances.
The reasons why this happens have to do with the individual history of each person, throughout their many incarnations, not only on this planet, but on other planets, or even in the case of those who have ‘fallen’ into another pre-created universe than the one in which we live.
For example, a being who has ‘fallen’ into another universe and has evolved his consciousness until he finds himself on a similar level of growth to the other inhabitants who have not ‘fallen’, has more challenges to face than the latter.
This is understandable because the sense of identity went through a phase of extreme duality, which was gradually overcome, probably through many painful experiences, until it was able to regain a sense of unity with its I am Presence.
But, in these people, the conscious you certainly has to confront the fact that it has allowed itself to be captured by the external self and can develop negative emotions of fear stored in the emotional body because it feels the need to ensure that the experience of ‘falling’ will never happen again.
This fear of falling again is understandable, even if there is already a strong connection with the spiritual identity of the I Am Presence. This is because the outer self remains present until the moment of Ascension, as it will only be left behind at the moment of Ascension.
How to Overcome the Fear that Created Doubt
In one way or another, every being on earth has to deal with the possibility of making a ‘wrong choice’ and that is why we find doubt in us.
We have been programmed by the hidden forces of this world (the so called ‘fallen beings’) to believe that we have made terrible mistakes in the past and that we can be wrong in an absolute way that cannot be erased. Mainstream religions on Earth perpetuate this belief.
So how do we overcome this? The Masters have given us tools and insights to do this, although it is easier to say than to do. But we can agree on some issues:
- Fear is always what creates doubt in us.
- The self that feels doubt is the external self, born from the consciousness of duality.
So, we have to transcend both fear and duality consciousness if we are to have a better life and change our external circumstances.
The path we must follow does not begin by changing our external circumstances to have a better life; on the contrary, we must first change our consciousness to manifest better external circumstances in our lives.
The reason it has to be this way is that everything in this universe is created through consciousness, including the material world.
But this cannot be achieved overnight, it is a process that involves a commitment to life, a commitment to changing our sense of identity and, from there, changing the beliefs that create doubt and lead to apathy on an emotional and action level.
When we Change our Consciousness, we can Transcend Karma
The best way to achieve better external circumstances in our lives is to change our consciousness: we will change our sense of identity, which sees us as mere mortal beings who are sinful and undeserving, to the sense of identity in which we know that we are spiritual beings to whom the Creator has given dominion over the material world.
Changing your sense of identity will allow you to purify the beliefs of other material bodies, to change the beliefs of the mental body and the emotions and ego of fear created in the emotional body.
This purification will have important consequences: on the one hand, the descent of karma on the physical plane can be avoided: this descent is one of the most common causes of the difficult external circumstances we face in life.
Another fundamental consequence is that we will finally be able to question ourselves about our desires: are they the true desires of our spiritual identity, contained in our divine plans, or are they desires of the outer self?
Our i am Presence desires to achieve goals in the physical world and these are our true desires. But the ego, the mortal identity, can, when we are identified with it, can superimpose purely material desires on those of the spiritual identity.
And although, as incarnated beings on earth, we can choose to fulfil the desires of the outer self, these desires do not help us to fulfil our divine plans, nor the essential purpose of life in the world of form: to graduate from the material world and ascend to the spiritual world.
It is important to note a nuance here now: the conscious you is who he thinks it is. If it identifies with the mortal self, it will focus your attention on the desires of the outer self.
It needs to connect with the I am Presence to focus its attention on the desires of the I am Presence, recognizing that there is no separation between itself and the I am Presence.
But Conscious you is free, so it can have a different choice from the desires of the I am presence.
And it is this knowing that can also create doubt in us, especially in those levels of consciousness where the conscious you already knows it is the I Am Presence – localised on Earth and still capable of less constructive choices.
There is only one way to transcend this doubt: it is to become one with the Christ Mind, which is the original consciousness of the conscious you, and to receive the insights that remove all doubt.
But for this to happen, the connection with the Christ Mind has to become stronger and stronger, until there comes a point where we are not influenced by the duality consciousness, therefore we are one with the Christ Mind, where there is no doubt in us and no separation.
