Experiencing the Spirit of Wisdom
In this post I am withing about experiencing the ‘Spirit if Wisdom’ in an association between the 2nd ray of wisdom and the 7th ray of freedom. I am following the teachings of Master Lanto in His book.[1]
Reasoning with the Intellect to Create Systems of ‘Truth’ is not Wisdom
For most people on Earth, the ego, with its sense of identity connected to the physical body and brain reasoning, controls people’s beliefs about what is real, what is unreal, what is possible, what is impossible.
The ego is in the separate mind, the linear mind for a very long time and it is not able to experience wisdom directly. For that reason, it created a definition of wisdom, by stating judgements based in words. ‘words’in turn, are the vocal expression of concepts, based on binary logic that only recognize two truth values (true and false).
The concepts created by the linear mind result from the subject/object interaction on the material world, in which the mind creates mental images of reality, convincing itself that these correspond to the objective ‘reality’, the only one that can be considered “true or false”.
This excludes all internal experiences of a spiritual nature, which the ego does not have access to and, therefore, does not recognize, giving rise to the ‘materialist’ view of reality – for which only what can be felt by the various physical senses and interpreted by the mind is real.
So, what is needed, if we want to achieve wisdom? Master Lanto answers: « What have I said is the ultimate key to really knowing wisdom? It is to go beyond the worded systems on earth and tune in – inside yourself – to the Spirit of Wisdom. » [2]
The ‘wisdom’ recognized by the ego is, in general, used as a weapon of power, to demonstrate superiority over others; it is a way of dividing some human beings in relation to others, it is an expression of mental force used to judge others and has such impact in the collective consciousness of Earth that it is very challenging to present people with a very different expression of wisdom that does not compare or judge, or force others.
And until there are enough individuals growing in consciousness to connect to their I am Presences through the conscious you, to experience the spirit of wisdom, it will not be possible to «know wisdom« because wisdom is not intellectual knowledge by the brain’s mind.
In Master Lanto’s words: « as the Conscious You can do when it steps outside the perception filter of the outer self – then you do not know wisdom.»[3]
Therefore, what every student needs to do is wake up from mortal identity to the spiritual immortal identity, but this implies an act of will, a decision to let go of the external self and let it die little by litle.
This is something that the Buddha, 25 centuries ago, experienced when He exclaimed «I am awake!»[4] this statement shows the experience of «knowing» through the Christ mind, by experiencing this with the conscious you, that He was not the external self nor any of the 4 material bodies, He was a spiritual being, awaken from the immersion phase in the illusions that He had accepted long ago, in the fist time He incarnated in the world of form.
Spiritual identity can’t be confined in any concepts or definitions; it feels the drive to be more, wants to be more, its reality does not depend, like the material bodies, on the coordinates space and time. That’s why this experience of «awakening» from the identification with the 4 material bodies and the temporary personality of the ego is what gives birth to our freedom.
Intellectual Knowledge of the Linear mind and Wisdom of the Christ Mind
All intellectual knowledge, no matter how refined or sophisticated it seems, comes from the ego, the external self, and is commonly a cause of pride and vanity for the earthly personality, that feels more intelligent or knowledgeable than others.
In short, it is a “throwing weapon” to compare themselves with others and reach a superior position through this knowledge based on force because, once convinced that their “truth” is superior to that of others, the individual feels tempted to impose it on others.
All ideologies are based on this psychological mechanism of using the theories and ideas believed as absolute truths, upon others, by using force, if necessary, especially when this brings some advantage in terms of power to those who defend them.
But as we have already said in our previous posts, wisdom is not an expression of power, human power, it is an expression of oneness and love. And this is only achieved by the experience of the Christ mind.
We don’t ‘own’ wisdom, we are the open doors to wisdom, when we open ourselves to the experience of the Christ mind. But only the conscious you can do this, the ego cannot be one, it can only be in duality.
The Spirit of Wisdom Doesn’t Want to Convert Anyone
Freedom is the most fundamental principle given to human beings in the world of form. And this means that neither God neither any of the Masters of Humankind want us to try to convert others.
The teachings given to us by the Masters are adapted to our levels of consciousness, collectively considered, and the Masters have been telling us many times that these teachings are very much valid but they do not intend to be absolute truths» because there are no «absolute truths».
And one of the reasons why it can never be an absolute truth on Earth is the fact that all the teachings that are given to us are translated into words and these are created by the external mind, by the ego. This means that the ego can interpret these words in very different and even ‘biased’ ways.
Wisdom in the spiritual sense is not an experience through words- although it can be translated by words- it is an inner ‘seeing’, through which our understanding broadens and envisions something transmitted by the spirit.
In the experience of wisdom, the analytical mind is silenced, instead a breadth of consciousness appears that allows us to see something in an indisputable way through an ‘insight’ that is a vision, not a reasoning that produces some judgment through words.
And yet the “certainty” of its truth is far greater and incomparable to any result of limited human reasoning.
In the reasoning made by the ego, the subject is active but, in the experience of the ‘spirit of wisdom’, this subject is passive and silent, giving way to an increase in consciousness, in inner light, which makes it visible, releasing it into consciousness, a certain truth, which appears as a clear vision in the mind.
But we are not owners of that truth, are just the recipients of it by becoming one with the mind of Christ, that allows us to experience the spirit of truth. We are open doors to what the «spirit of wisdom’ wants to express through us in a certain situation. But we have no control of the spirit (the ego has no control of the spirit).
But we must be alert to the fact that what the spirit of truth did express through us in a certain moment of time is not an absolute truth, it is given for that particular moment and circumstances and that’s why it is useless to claim at any moment that, if we follow the ascended Masters teachings, we have an absolute truth.
As the Masters often say, the are giving us «progressive revelation» in accordance to our collective level of consciousness, not «absolute truths». And discerning this, is also to stay in the spirit of wisdom.
And how does freedom play its part in this process? Let’s listen to Master Lanto again: « you need to be free when it comes to wisdom. This means, first of all, that you are free to move on when the Spirit of Wisdom moves you. » [5]
And this means, among other things that, when is necessary to move from one teaching to another, given in the progressive revelation», we move to the new teaching, without regret or doubt. This is not done with the outer mind of the ego, it is done with the inner mind of the conscious you, accepting to move and experiencing the spirit of wisdom expressing through us.
