Freedom is the Ultimate Challenge on Earth
In this post I continue to talk about the association between wisdom and freedom, based on Master Lanto’s book The Mystical Initiations of Wisdom[1] . I intend to comment on why freedom is the ultimate challenge on Earth. This is a matter of the 2nd ray of Wisdom, in connection with the 7th ray of Freedom.
The Separate mind Cannot be Free
I begin by quoting Master Lanto: “Freedom is the ultimate challenge, at least until you pass the initiations on the 96th level. »[2]
It is no coincidence that master Lanto states that it is necessary to pass the initiations of the 96th level of consciousness, to discern freedom: at this level, as I already wrote before, there is a milestone initiation – the 2nd challenge of Christ.
This initiation marks a decisive step in overcoming the dualistic mind of the separated ego, through the experience of the mind of Christ, or, as Master Lanto says, only then can we experience the spirit of wisdom.
If we pass successfully this initiation, we will begin to dismantle the ego’s structure, getting rid of its conglomerate of selves. It is also then that we connect more and more with the I am Presence and open to what the I am Presence wants to express through us and is recorded in our divine plan.
As we advance from the 96th level of consciousness to the 144th level of consciousness, we leave behind more and more selves of external identity and become aware of what is inscribed in our divine plan.
The external self has less and less gravitational power over our identity because we have shifted attention from the ego’s mind to our spiritual mind and, for this reason, the ego receives less and less of the light that comes from the I am Presence and that for a long time, fed it and gave it power over our lives.
In turn, the conscious you, or the pure localized consciousness of our I am Presence on Earth, is increasingly focused on the I am Presence as its true identity and begins to see the ego as something that is not part of its identity, but an intrusive force that needs to be discarded.
Now, this radical change of focus from the external self to the spiritual internal self has dramatic consequences for our sense of identity: on the one hand, we stop reacting compulsively to the circumstances of the external world, as happened when we let the ego control our life; on the other hand, we begin to receive a greater amount of the light from the I am Presence, and that is felt by us as unconditional love and a sense of peace that is not disturbed by anything in the outside world.
And this state allows us to finally feel free and at the same time creative and capable of experiencing the spirit of wisdom. In fact, wisdom and freedom are closely linked, as we are only free when we can experience the wisdom of the Christ mind and, on the other hand, doing this is possible because we are free.
This might be difficult to «understand» by the external linear mind but is perfectly discernable by the free Christ mind.
Freedom and Wisdom are not Defined on Earth
We know how many philosophies and ideologies have been trying to define what freedom is and what wisdom is. But when we are talking about the spiritual qualities of freedom and wisdom, we are not refering to the definitions made on Earth.
Let’s be clear: we are not able to discern the spiritual qualities of freedom and wisdom with the linear analytical mind of the external self or ego. These are not concepts created in the mind, the human mind. These are spiritual flames. To discern the link between them means knowing why freedom is the ultimate challenge on Earth.
What human beings call «freedom» has an opposite- slavery; and what they call «wisdom» also has an opposite- ignorance. However, the divine qualities of freedom and wisdom have no opposite, as they were not created with the separate dualistic mind.
The Masters teach us that everything that exists was created through the mind of Christ, the one mind that reestablishes the union between all parts of life. And it is the mind of Christ- the conscious you in us, the divine self, that is capable of discerning divine qualities, including freedom and wisdom.
This is the reason why Master Lanto mentioned what I wrote at the beginning of this article: only when we have passed the initiation of the 96th level of consciousness will we begin to experience wisdom and manifest the quality of freedom.
The outer mind deals only with dualistic concepts, cannot grasp the unity of the spirit of freedom. Its reasoning obeys to the binary logic that only understands something by contrasting it with its opposite.
On Earth, many spiritual students face the ultimate challenge of freedom and wisdom because, without noticing, they use the linear mind to define what wisdom and freedom are, and try to impose their concepts upon others, even the ascended Masters, because their egos are looking for the «absolute truth» that can give them security and the illusion of control.
Like Master Lanto says: « The approach taken by most people is that they seek to define an outer teaching, to define a certain set of rules for behavior, and then they seek with their outer minds to force themselves to conform to those rules»[3]
These students are not free yet, and they can’t grasp the spirit of wisdom, no matter how convinced they are of their knowledge. And they don’t discern why freedom is the ultimate challenge on Earth.
Wisdom and Freedom are an Experience of Oneness with Our Divine Self and Spirit
Until that magical moment of experiencing that we are more than the 4 material bodies, we will not be able to achieve wisdom and can’t grasp why freedom is the ultimate challenge on Earth.
Such an experience cannot be forced by the outer mind and can’t be confused with any kind of desire to have special powers or to be superior to other people whoever they are, this is a spontaneous experience, where the conscious you jumps out of the external self and looks inside , to the I am Presence, to the Christ mind that it is.
When we experience this, it hits us like a flash that lets us see, without shadows or hesitations, our true reality. It is a vision that changes us forever, where no words are needed but only the flow of the spirit present within us. And then we know that this is our true reality, the only reality that we are.
Only the spirit can know that it is free, since the ego feels trapped by the straitjacket that are all the limitations and conditions it accepted to live on Earth. Only the spirit can access wisdom, as it comes from the one mind of Christ from which all creation emerged.
Wisdom is the perception of the unity of all life, of the belonging of all forms to a single origin, in the divine substance. Wisdom is the experience of this unity and the love and freedom from which it arose.
In Master Lanto’ s words: « Your goal is to use a spiritual teaching only as a ladder for climbing towards oneness with the spirit, and then you allow the spirit to express itself through you.» [4]
Although most of us can’t do this fully right now, we can strive for accomplishing this. And the best way we can to achieve wisdom now is:« The higher wisdom you can step up to is that you realize that the goal of a spiritual teaching is to come into oneness with the spirit behind the teaching»[5]
The spirit behind the teaching is the ascended Master who said these words. And, as our Master, He can help us to break through from the ego to the spiritual conscious you if we so decide and choose.
If we apply ourselves to look inside and seek with humility to transcend the ego, at a given moment the conscious you will surprise us with its presence that the ego’s simplistic view will not be able to deny. And we will now grasp why freedom is the ultimate challenge on Earth.
