Freedom, Will and Anti- Will
In this article I am writing about freedom, will and anti-will. I am following the teachings of Mother Mary[1] , Master More and Saint Germain, in their discourses on a conference held in March 2025.
Human Will and Anti-Will
Many religious people on this planet refer to ‘God’s Will’ as something that sets parameters for what we can or cannot do: in this sense, it would be the established and written rules, such as the commandments and rules of the various religions.
But is this actually ‘God’s Will’, or is it a set of rules associated with an ‘image’ that human beings created of God?
Let us listen to Master More: ‘the god of the Old Testament is totally fabricated by human beings’ (…) God’s will is not forced upon us. There is no external will on the spiritual plane that wants to force us to do anything.’[2]
What does this mean? Let us add some words from Master St Germain, in the same conference, recalling the words of Master Jesus when He walked the earth: ‘I of my own self can do nothing; it is the Father within me who is doing the work’[3]
How do you reconcile and understand these statements? Well, we can say that, on the one hand, we are free, because God’s will does not restrict our freedom; and the proof of this is the existence of so many beings who have rebelled against ‘God’s will’ and continue to do so, at least until their ‘time’ is up (and it is very long!)
We were created free, so we can rebel against God’s will. Otherwise we would not have freedom. But we cannot do this forever, because by choosing the path of duality, we are actually going against a huge global movement of life, which is becoming more and more powerful. And this effort to ‘go against’ this movement of life becomes more and more difficult to bear.
We can say that all those who have rebelled against the laws of the Creator form an Anti-Will. And, on Earth, this has become gravitationally very strong, because the inhabitants of Earth have long since fallen into the consciousness of duality,in such way that they do not see any alternative to this form of consciousness.
However, many people have come to believe that they are powerless to change anything in their earthly lives, even believing that, if they suffer, this is ‘God’s will’.
But this is an illusion born of the consciousness of duality: unable to see other options for their lives, many people conform to the idea that it is God who forces suffering into their lives.
They have forgotten, however, that many lives ago, they allowed themselves to be deceived by the consciousness of duality and separation and are now trapped in that consciousness, without remembering that it was their choice that led them into duality. It was a choice they made to enter the consciousness of duality.
Such a decision is not irrevocable, nothing on earth is irrevocable, but it takes an act of will to look at yourself and see the belief that, in the past, gave rise to the decision to enter into duality.
And of course ask for the help of the Masters in this, for without this help it will probably be very difficult to distinguish between the outer- self, created in separation, and the true identity as a spiritual being.
Until this act of will does not manifest, the majority of people on Earth are being pulled by the force of anti-will, created by fallen beings, who have an interest in preventing human beings from discovering that they are more than mere products of biological evolution, that they are spiritual beings who incarnated on Earth and became trapped there by the consciousness of duality.
Anti-will can still manifest itself on Earth as passivity that feels so powerless to change anything that it has given up trying to change itself. Again, this can only change if we take responsibility for the situation, where we find ourselves on Earth.
Such a situation was created by a choice made in the distant past, and only us can revoke that choice and replace it with a better one.
All the ideas of fatalism that have appeared in human consciousness as a result of suffering are the product of the anti-will that projects onto God the idea that this is caused by the divine will.
Divine Will is not the Cause of Our suffering on Earth
There are many ideas, many of them created by the “fallen beings” who live on the planet to better control human beings, that creates pessimism and a feeling of powerlessness, leading to the idea that “everything that happens is God’s will and we can only accept that will”.
Now it was never God’s will that man should suffer deliberately. It is necessary to reverse this reasoning and realise that it was the free choices of human beings that produced the suffering that affectes them. But this is not an irrevocable situation.
Just as they made choices in the past that led to the situation they are in today, it is possible to make different choices and decisions. God is not a punishing being who wants to punish those who do not obey Him.
This idea has been created on Earth by fallen beings who have created an image of a punishing God that is not real, it exists only as an image that has been continuously projected into the collective consciousness for a long time, but that doesn’t give you the substance of reality.
One of the reasons that led to the creation of this image of God was that for a long-time people refused to take responsibility for their lives and the choices they made. Faced with the suffering that some of these choices brought them, they decided to attribute these consequences to an external cause.
In doing so, however, they ended up losing awareness of their freedom as co-creators with God on planet Earth.
It is necessary to regain this awareness that human beings are, in fact, spiritual beings, created to gain dominion over the material world, not to be assimilated by it, as if they were powerless to change it.
We need a Shift in People’s Minds to Recognise their Freedom.
The fall into the separate consciousness gave rise to an outer self associated with the identity as a mortal human being.
However, we are much more than that, we are spiritual beings who have come down to earth to incarnate in a physical body and experiment with freedom until we reach a certain level of growth in consciousness that allows us to leave the earth and continue our journey on the spiritual plane.
And there is only one way to do this: to reconnect with our spiritual identity – the Conscious You – and through it with the One Mind of Christ. The conscious you in us is the expression of the mind of Christ. Through it we are one with the will of God.
We are always free to choose to go against God’s laws, but at some point we realise that to go against those laws is to go against ourselves, because we are, on our individual scale, an expression of the divine will. There is no conflict between our will because it is at the same time God’s Will.
Only the separate consciousness can feel that it is forced by God’s will. God’s will is our will, and when we are one with our spiritual identity, our will is God’s will through our individual expression.
Only the will of our spiritual identity can be free, for only it is capable of change, of seeing more than one alternative. The separate mind only sees “black or white” and there is never a third possibility (or possibilities).
And this is exactly why the fallen consciousness, trapped in separation, is not free; only the Christ Consciousness can be, because it always has more than one alternative at any given moment, and therefore it is the only one that has a choice.
