Freeing Ourselves from Outdated World Views
In this post I am writing about the need to purify our world view and let go of some epic ideals about what it means to help bring the Golden Age envisioned by Master St Germain. I am following the teachings given in the book The Mystic Initiations of Freedom[1]. This need is also a quality of the 7th ray.
Getting Rid of Ego’s ‘Dreams» of What Golden Age Should Be
In his book, Master St Germain alerts for the need to overcome the sense of reality that makes many people, among spiritual seekers, to create what He calls «dreams» about what the Golden Age should be on Earth.
Most of these ‘dreams’ are about certain conditions in the physical planet and are about changing the material conditions on Earth. However, it is understandable that people living in the matter realm dream about having better (as they see it) conditions on the planet, but all this is visioned on the level of the mortal self or ego.
So, the very first thing to do, when we want to help manifest the Golden Age, is to purify our vision of the world and let go the ‘dreams’ created by the ego about this. For that, it is necessary to change our concept of reality.
Like Master St. Germain says «it is your mind that assigns reality to what you see on Earth»[2]. So, the first step we need to do is to change our mind and our beliefs about what is real and not real on Earth.
Earth is a Reality Simulator
For many people living on Earth for a long time and, according to the Masters, especially for those who are avatars[3], it is very difficult to overcome the idea that Earth does not have reality in itself but is a reality simulator for educational purposes of all self-aware beings incarnating here.
The beings that are «avatars» have also another difficulty to surpass, that is, because they had a strong sense of being individuals, when they entered the consciousness of duality, after the trauma that happened to them on the planet caused by the fallen beings, they got stuck, many of them, in the sense of self created on Earth.
They also face additional hardship to change themselves, because they attached to their strong individual sense of identity the desire to change some condition on Earth. And, since this desire hasn’t been fulfilled until now, they find it very difficult to let go of the sense of identity connected to specific changes in the outer world.
That’s why the Masters gave so many teachings in the books about avatars, to help these life streams to overcome the impossible desire of changing Earth, by helping them to understand that we can’t change the world, we can only change ourselves. (And the first reason for that, is Freedom- we can’t go against other people’s choices).
But for this we need to understand that it is superfluous and totally useless to want to change the world, because this is just a projection of the collective consciousness at a specific moment of time. If we want to change the outside world, what is required is that we change our consciousness and our sense of what is real in the collective consciousness.
Changing our Sense of What is Real
At the beginning of this year, Master Padmasambhava gave us a moto for guidance along the extremes we would be facing along the year: «Ask yourself what is real and what is unreal».
And these words have proven to be very wise and helpful. If we lose ourselves in the events happening in the world, and focus on them as «the reality», we probably feel lost and without hope.
But if we are aware that Earth, whatever events occur, is a «reality simulator», projecting at every moment the collective images that humankind is holding in its mind, we can stay in the neutral position of recognizing that what is «happening» in the world is exactly what it «should be» happening.
What is happening is the result of people, collectively, projecting the contents of their consciousness, upon the «screen» of Mother Earth. And, if we want to change what is happening in the «screen of Earth», we need to change our consciousness.
An individual alone cannot change what is happening on Earth and to think otherwise is what the Masters call «magic thinking». Only the collective consciousness of human beings can change the images projected in the reality simulator of Earth and there’s no point in thinking that this or that event «should not have happened».
The Obstacle of the Epic Mindset
Some spiritual people think, many times, that they «should make the difference» on Earth and help to change Earth, so they keep unreasonable expectations about this. But this is an illusion and a misunderstanding of what Freedom is.
Avatars are especially vulnerable to this illusion, because they think that they know better than the majority of other people what «is better for Earth», what is better for the lives of all people.
This is a tremendous illusion: for one reason, because what is best for other individuals is not what we think from the standpoint of our beliefs and consciousness, but what can help that individual to change his/her own perception of reality.
What we think ‘it is better» for ourselves is not, also in many cases, what we think or believe, if we are thinking with the linear mind of the external self. So, the best way is the one where we strive for receiving the awareness of our I am Presence to decide «what is better» for us and let go the idea that «we know better» what is also best for other fellow human beings.
And, like the Masters say, if we don’t learn this by the «easy way», that is, by learning from the Masters and our own experience- we must learn it from the «school of hard knocks». Not for vindictive cosmic or God’s punishment, but because, for many people, this is the only way they can learn.
We Are on Earth to Spiritually Grow
Being on Earth (or other planet) is not an end in itself, it is only the beginning of our spiritual growth, according to the principles established by the Creator. And our Freedom is the guide determining «the way we are going to learn- the easy or the hard way».
We are here to experiment with our freedom and, after a while, awaken to the consciousness that we are more than mortal beings, we are spiritual beings. We are here to transcend all of the 96 levels of illusions that we took in our incarnation process and, if our freedom made us choose to go below the 48 the level of consciousness- like many people living now on Earth- the 144 levels of illusions taken.
We are also here to bring to Earth the gift that our I am Presence wants to give to the life on this planet, and to bring more light- spiritual light- to fill the void in this sphere.
But we will only fulfil our destiny if we awaken from the mortal sense of identity and if we break the attachment to the outer self and accept to let it die, so that our sense of spiritual identity can be reborn.
For those who created a strong ego, convinced that it is «perfect» and that it deserves to become immortal, this can be an impossible quest. Because the truth is this: as Master Jesus said, “only he who came down from heaven can return to heaven” and all attempts to resist to letting the mortal self die, are in vain.
What makes a certain being “fall” is precisely the resistance to abandon the self, created in the world of form, and let it die. But if the mortal self does not die, the sense of self we have will never be the spiritual sense of self and, as such, it has no future in the spiritual realm.
