Knowing the Seven Rays- 1st Ray, Will and Power
In this post I am going to clarify some characteristics of the first ray- part 1, according to the teachings of the Ascended Masters.
The First Ray is part of a Trilogy, the Three-fold Flame
Although, for clarity purposes I am going to dedicate different posts to write about the first 3 rays of creation, it is necessary to point out that all rays act together and this is even more evident with the first 3 rays-power, wisdom and love. Truly, they express the most basic principles of all creation.
In this post, I will do my best to show the connection between the first 3 rays, altough my main concern is to clarify the 1st ray.
The Word is an Expression of Power and Creativity – The Throat Chakra
Master More, the Chohan of the first ray, explains, in his book The Creative Power Within[1] how important is the sound of the spoken work to express the creative power.
He also teaches the neophytes – the «path of the seven rays» begins with the 1st ray- how to balance the use of word, focusing on the heart chakra, to feel if our words are constructive or destructive. Our spoken words are charged with power and it is necessary to learn to balance this power, if we want to use it to co-create.
The Word, or Logos, is the Christ Mind, and it is embedded in all that was created, because «without it, nothing could have been created, that was created». Also, according to our Masters, the creation began with the words: «Let it be Light» (and with these words, the «mother -principle, or matter-light» was created.
Master More also shows, with this example, another important feature of the 1st ray- the power represented by the 1st ray is never isolated from Love.
When we have cleaned our 4 material bodies, we can experience the union of the seven rays, used by the Elohim to create everything on this planet, as «Love». Love is at the basis of all creation. And if we want power to be sustainable, it can never be separated from Love. I am not talking about «human love» but Unconditional Love.
The Creator created out of the drive to be more and from Love, for which it gave a part of its being to give rise to other beings. So, from the beginning, the drive to be more is never separated from Love. And this is a characteristic feature of the 1st ray
To create a sustainable world, the creator had to create a set of principles or Laws, the most fundamental being the Expansion and Contracting Forces:
The Expansion force , the Contracting Force and Christ Consciousness
A creation can only be sustainable if there is a perfect balance between the elements of Creation. just like when we are making a recipe for a delicious meal, we use several ingredients in exact proportion- too much of any ingredient spoils the final result we can use the same analogy in relation to the laws that govern the universe.
The desire to create, the drive to be more, is an expanding force but if there is too much expansion, it becomes uncontrollable and sustainable creation is not possible.
So, there must be a complementary force, that is not opposite in the dualistic sense, because it is not separate from the expansion force.
The complementary force is the contracting force. These 2 forces are many times referred as, respectively, the «force of the father» or masculine – expansion; and the «force of the mother» or feminine – contraction.
The balance between the 2 is mathematically expressed in a perfect harmony. If these 2 forces are not perfectly aligned, the creation is not sustainable for long.
Science calls this contraction force (that makes unbalanced creations to break and collapse) the 2nd law of thermodynamics. This is a «safety mechanism created by the Creator to ensure that unbalanced creations made by us in disrespect by God’s Laws, cannot stand and are condemned to disappear because they are against life, as a whole.
And what connects both forces is the divine Logos, the Christ Consciousness, the «only begotten son of the father», that is also an expression of the Creator’s Love.
Only the connection of the expansion principle, meaning creative power, with the contraction force, that gives sustainability of form, through the Divine Logos, that is, balance and connection to the whole of life, through wisdom and love, guarantees a balanced creation. These aspects are symbolized by the union of the «father force» (expansion) with the «mother force» (contraction) in a precise proportion, given by the Logos.
What this also means is that we can’t have a sustainable creation without connecting «power» ,«wisdom» and «love». All together they assure the cohesion of all life: the «son», or Christ Consciousness, is the balance principle of all manifestation in the world of form and is the connecting principle of all creation.
What the 1rst ray also demonstrates is that we can’t really create anything sustainable if we don’t want to give part of our beings to the created : the creation is possible because the Creator has the power to create but also because it is moved by Love, by the desire to give itself.
To be more of himself is not an exercise of closing itself in its own being but to literally give a part of its own being to allow other beings to exist, with the same potential to be like the creator.
To give freedom and self- awareness to those beings, without knowing in advance what they will do with these gifts, this is unconditional love.
Creativity and the Laws of the Creator
No creation can be sustainable without a set of conditions that make it possible. If there were no laws of Nature, the universe could not exist, because those laws were created to make possible its existence.
But God created free beings, and they can choose against these laws. And, when this happens, we can say that there is a perversion of the principles of the 1st ray. God foresaw this possibility, reason why there is the safety mechanism of the «contracting force» of the «mother principle».
When we create out of the separate mind there is no balance between the power to create and the Love that connects what is being created with the whole of life. And, because of this, this perversion of power can’t create sustainable forms and, sooner or later, collapses.
On Earth, we have been seeing this in the collapse of civilizations of the past and others in more recent history. Disconnected from Love, they have also created misery and suffering for many.
Creativity in its pure sense, aligned with the Creator’s principles, is joyful, and produces better conditions and abundance for all life. The perversion of creativity results in the suffering of many and the illusory aggrandizement of a few who are convinced that they deserve more than the whole of life.
