Knowing the Seven Rays- 5Th Ray- Part 1
In this post I am going to write about the qualities of the 5th ray, part 1.
Truth is the’ Single Vision’
Master Hilarion, the Chohan of the 5th ray, says in his book, The Mystic Initiations of Vision[1], that the 5th ray is the ray of truth and of vision. But, although we can speak about «vision» in different meanings, the vision related to this ray is the «single-eyed vision», that is, a vision that is not dualistic.
So, the first thing to notice is that the «vision » we are talking about in this ray is not in the sensorial sense of using our physical eyes, it is a spiritual vision. In Master Hilarion’s words «the single-eyed vision is the Christ vision, which sees beyond duality».
A vision in duality is a vision that raises one side and lowers the other, considering one positive and the other negative, it is what we described in another post, when referred to the linear mind.
The vision of duality defines an absolute truth and does not accept any alternatives, defining standards of comparison to decide what is true and what is false, relying on criteria defined on Earth. For one «truth», there is an opposite, that is false.
But in the «vision of spirit», the Christ mind, we see that all divisions and comparisons are unreal, discerning the unity between all parts of life. Therefore, the vision of Christ tries to elevate all life, recognizing that the scales of lower/higher, true/false, are nothing more than illusions of the mind that has separated itself from its source of life.
The vision of spirit sees that any expression of “truth” defined on Earth is always less than the truth of the Spirit.
We can only see the illusions of the linear mind, though, when we attain a certain degree of Christ Discernment, because humankind did, for such a long time, accept the «serpentine logic», based in the binary values of «true» and «false», the black and white thinking.
Christ discernment is the only one that can help us to see beyond the duality consciousness and see that all appearances of the material world are only temporary.
Only when we can have this recognition, can we achieve the 5th ray vision and can we truly transform our consciousness and our identity.
The linear, intellectual mind, cannot achieve the 5th ray vision. This vision has nothing to do with the intellect.
Perversions of the 5th Ray
The greatest perversion of the 5th ray is that we don’t understanding the difference between the one truth of Christ and “dualistic truths”, allowing oneself to be carried away by doubt.
Another perversion that has led to so many atrocities in the world, is the belief that there is one “truth that is absolute” and that, whoever possesses it, has the legitimacy to use force against those who do not accept it, whether on a religious or ideological level.
Another perversion of the 5th ray is believing that it is fair to judge a person by their beliefs, accepting that certain beliefs make a person “good” or “bad”, and not recognizing that there is no “truth” or belief on Earth that is more than just temporary “truths” or “beliefs”.
This perversion also implies the reduction of a person’s identity to the mortal identity developed on Earth, and influenced by the culture, religion and values of the society in which someone is born and raised, failing to see that, beyond this “apparent identity”, there is a spiritual identity , which is the only true identity.
Because this is not seen, human beings develop mental images, concepts, which they then elevate to absolute truths, believing that they are worth dying and killing for.
The Vision of the 5th Ray and Co-creative Abilities
All human beings have «vision» beyond the material senses, but many are not aware of it. But to really acknowledge this, is necessary to attain Christ discernment as we described above.
The 5th ray’s vision is a vision of unity. It is the awareness that we can grow without having to take anything from other parts of life. We can grow at the same time as everyone else grows. To have more, we don’t need that others have less.
On the other hand, dualistic consciousness thinks that there is only a limited set of resources on Earth and that, for some to have more, others must have less. It is the consciousness of scarcity and poverty, typical of the separated mind.
The Christ consciousness responds to this with the principle of “abundance” that Mother Mary talks about in the book series Course on Abundance[2]: the consciousness of “abundance” comes from the connection with the I am Presence.
This connection produces a constant flow of light through the «I am Presence» that expands into the material world, flowing through our energy field and allows the co-creation of better material conditions for all life.
This “light” that flows from the Presence is the “River of life” the flow of unconditional Love, that does not choose some over others nor punishes others, but gives himself to all life, freely and unconditionally.
And this light can be used to visualize, to co-create a better world to live, not just to ourselves, but for all life.
Co-Creating in Christ and in Separation
In a next article we will write about the importance of purifying our 4 material bodies to co-create abundance for our lives and for All.
Human beings are continually projecting images into the cosmic mirror that is the universe, not always consciously. Most project images of material goals they want to achieve. But, for those who follow the spiritual path, it is not just about achieving material goals.
It is not easy to be a co-creator on a planet as dense as Earth. There are 4 material planes on Earth, just like in human beings, and the great density of terrestrial energy makes it difficult to achieve what is visualized in the conscious process of co-creation.
On Earth, there are many interferences that come between what we visualize and what we end up getting, especially if we trye to materialize things on Earth.
But, as master Hilarion remembers, in his book, we are here to demonstrate that there is a higher approach to life than the search for material goals: “our goal is not to manifest ideal conditions in the physical world (…) our divine plan includes demonstrating the path to Christ consciousness”.
And this is our “treasure” in Heaven, multiplying our talents, as Master Jesus exemplified with his life, in which he had access to neither riches nor privileges on the material plane , but achieved mastery of the self – the Christ consciousness in its fullness.
To manifest Christ consciousness, we may not be able to achieve total control over the external circumstances of our life. And we need to see that in ourselves and accept it.
In Master Hilarion’s words :« you can see that in some cases, this means that you will not have total control over your physical circumstances (…)»[3] .
The external control is not relevant for the spiritual identity, it is only relevant to the mortal self : «the goal of the path to Christhood is actually not to demonstrate an outer mastery where you can manifest the exact physical situations you want . It is to demonstrate an inner mastery where you demonstrate that, regardless of outer situations, you can be who you are».
And what we are is, we are spiritual beings that need nothing from the physical world to become complete.
