Knowing the Seven Rays- The Process of Vision
I continue, in this article, to write about the qualities of the 5th ray. You and read more about this ray in previous posts on the site.
The Physical Process of Vision is a Product of the Mind
We are used to thinking that the physical process of vision depends only on sensory factors but, in fact, this is not the case, as neuroscience clearly admits.
As it collects data that is repeated in experience, the brain does not process each similar experience as if it were the first time, but rather projects responses given previously in similar situations.
Thus, in most situations, what we “see” is a projection created by the brain previously and stored in its database, in a similar experience. It is not the “eyes” that see, it is the brain.
However, the physical process of vision is more complex than the explanation science gives us, as it includes more than the strictly physical plane, covering the 4 material bodies and not just one, as Master Hilarion explains to us:
«There is an aspect of vision that relates to the emotional body, then an aspect that relates to the mental and one to the identity»[1]
Vision Happens in the 4 Material Bodies – A Description
Vision is a process that occurs in the mind and the physical extension of mind is the brain. In Master Hilarion’s words: «you do not see with the eyes; you do see with the brain »[2].
In the brain, the occipital lobes are what process visual stimuli. And these are carried to these brain areas but then pass to the emotional body where it creates an interference pattern. Contents existing in the emotional body, especially if they are associated with the energy of fear, affect the perception of the stimuli received.
And the result may be the interpretation of stimuli and situations as being threatening, even if they are not.
Then, It passes to the mental body where a new interference pattern is created and, once again, our beliefs and value judgments can create distortions in what we perceive.
Finally, it moves to body of identity and, once again, “what is seen” depends largely on the conscious you‘s sense of identity in relation to the physical body. What this means is, If the person’s conscious you is identified only with the physical body, the vision is limited to this plane, placing a filter that hides the remaining material planes.
In the words of Master Hilarion: «we might say that their chain of vision ends at the physical level». And this applies to every other material level. Therefore, different persons can «see» very different «things» when receive similar stimuli.
In summary: a stimulus is received in each of the 4 material bodies and an interference pattern is created in each of them.
If the person is primarily focused on the emotional plane, he sees only the pattern that was created when the impulse reached the emotional body and do not see what is seen when the impulse reached the higher levels (mental and identity).
On the other hand, some people (in smaller numbers than those who are focused on the physical and emotional planes) are focused on the mental or identity plane and their vision is different from the vision of people focused on the physical and emotional planes.
However, both the mental and identity bodies have their own distortions in relation to what is seen.
This happens because our beliefs and value judgments stored in the mental body filter what we see, and what we accept as “true or false” and our sense of identity is also a filter that only shows what we accept, not revealing what we reject as «impossible» or inconsistent. The result ,once again, is that we see only what we project out.
The 4 material bodies are, in this way, “filters” of vision and we must be aware of this if we want to purify our vision.
Passive and Active vision
Like Master Hilarion says, everyone has «vision» but many are not aware of it. However, there are good reasons to become aware of the images that we constantly project into the cosmic mirror of the universe, the main one being that the universe returns to us what we send back.
Therefore, we need to learn to co-create more consciously, to receive better conditions for our lives.
We cannot help but co-create, and we continually create the conditions in which we live, but many do not recognize that these conditions are created by themselves, even if not consciously.
That’s why we see the world as continually limiting our efforts and capacity for change, projecting outwards the limitations that are created by our mind.
In result of this, our vision is passive, because we do not recognize that we have the power to change our external conditions, believing, on the contrary, that we are powerless to change these conditions.
And the effect of this lack of recognition is that we continually project mental images into the cosmic mirror, that attract the circumstances in which we live, but the filters created by us in each of the 4 material bodies, continually discard everything that does not fit into the vision we have of the world
Therefore, the first step towards a better life is to become aware of the projections that we continually send to the cosmic mirror, change our consciousness and project more positive images outwards.
But this involves purifying the 4 levels of the mind from interference patterns that cause suffering in our lives when we receive the return from the cosmic mirror.
This purification process begins with the acceptance that we are spiritual beings living in a physical body and the decision to initiate the self-mastery path that awakens us to our real identity and gradually purify all the contents of our 4 material bodies.
