Love is the Drive to Be More
I am writing about the love as the drive to be more, following the teachings of Master Paul the Venetian in His book The Mystic Initiations of Love[1]. I am also writing about the greatest perversion of Love, competition and how this comes from the dualistic mind.
Let’s take the words of Master Paul:« What is the core of love? It is the desire to be more, but the question is: “More than what?”[2]
The Competition mindset comes from the External self
Who is the one making the question quoted above? It is no doubt the ego, that is, by nature, always comparing everything to other things, to measure, to analyse, to see where anything it experiences is placed on a scale between 2 extremes- one is less, the other is ‘more’.
If our consciousness focuses predominantly on the Earth-born dualistic linear mind, it will always feel the need to compare things to each other, people, objects, their own states of consciousness: I’m more or less happy than I was yesterday or a week ago; I like this more than that, etc.
In other articles I wrote that the external self can only look outside, it does not have the ability to look at itself and transform itself.
And to deal with the circumstances of the outside world, you need to compare, to put all things on scales of “more or less”, that is, to “value”, to judge everything based on established standards or values.
This self does this to feel that it has control over its earthly life and to be assured that the life of his mortal body is not in danger. And as Master Paul Venetian tells us, we don’t need to demonize the ‘linear mind’ of the intellect, which has its usefulness when dealing with normal everyday interactions:
«Do not be fooled into thinking that the intellectual mind is necessarily an enemy of your spiritual growth. It is only an enemy when it is used in an unbalanced way,[3]»
We have a physical body and a physical mind working through the brain, but we are more than physical beings.
The problem with most people on Earth is that they forgot their spiritual nature and believe that they are nothing more than mortal human beings. And this is how people make use of the linear mind in an unbalanced way because they think their mind is just the physical mind of the ego.
The separate mind needs to compete to others to evaluate its own worth, because sees others at a distance and many times considers them as a threat to what it desires to accomplish.
The fallen beings were the first to create the competitive mentality, thinking that they could compete with God and show that they were better able to decide how the universe should work.
From the state of the planet, where they have been dominating for a long time, although hidden from humankind, it is very clear that their belief was an illusion. All the suffering that exists on Earth and is caused by the separate mind is a reliable witness to this illusion.
The hubris of these beings, their arrogance in thinking that, having not ascended, they knew more than the creator, whose level of consciousness is infinitely higher, can only be explained by the pride that these beings developed for what they created in the world of form.
But nothing created in the world of form is permanent so, all their creations vanished long ago, in the higher sphere they fell from. But they left this seed of competition on Earth, that is driving many human beings to a false sense of identity and control.
Love is the Drive to Be More Through Oneness with the I am Presence
When we are in the conscience of oneness, we feel the drive to be more, but we don’t measure this ‘more’ by comparing ourselves to other people; we do it by transcending ourselves, that is, by recognizing that we are «more now than who we were in a previous moment.
And this ‘more’ is about our consciousness, there is something we recognize now that we could not see in a previous moment: we did grow in consciousness, our sphere of self, did grow with us and is larger now than it was before.
Like Master Jesus once said, our consciousness is like a circle with many rays and there are many parts of this circle that we can’t see yet. But, as we grow in consciousness, there are more parts of this circle that we can see and know we are part of.
And, at the same time, we know that the circle is filled with the unconditional love of the creator, and we feel it, each time we are one with it. The mind of oneness is not in competition with anyone and doesn’t accept any standards defined on Earth.
That’s why Master Paul says: “The moment you begin comparing yourself, either to a standard defined on earth or to other people, then this is not constructive. It is a perversion of the drive to become more, which is the core of love. »[4]
The ‘more’ that drives the spiritual self is not «more than others» by any standard on Earh, it is more in the River of Life, more than we were before in the river of life, not in the world of form.
When We Lose the Drive to be More, we Decay into Mediocrity and Death
A long time ago, many people on Earth entered in a state of mind where they did not want to be more and became passive. But life is movement, it is the will to be more, and life begins to disintegrate when people lose this drive.
Earth was at risk to be disintegrated because of this lack of will to be more. When a system becomes closed in itself, it enters in chaos and entropy begins to undo organization and structures, as demonstrated by the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
That’s why fallen beings were authorized to come to Earth to see if the original inhabitants of Earth would react and change their ways. This had ups and downs along the course, but we are now in a good moment to let the drive to be more revive in the hearts of human beings.
However, Humanity is free, so it depends on what most human beings are going to choose to be. If they have had enough of the suffering, the control and manipulation of the fallen beings, incarnated in the 4 bodies of Earth, a new Era can happen on Earth, a new Golden Age, envisioned by Master St. Germain.
We are entering The Age of Aquarius, where we will be for the next 2000 years and this can be the beginning of a period of abundance on Earth, the Abundance that comes from the oneness of the Christ Mind.
This is an Era where unconditional love will drive all who are ready to manifest the consciousness of Abundance who will let die all consciousness of lack, poverty and scarcity from this planet.
This is an age that begins by a mass of people accepting their spiritual nature and being one with all humankind, recognizing the basic and essential humanity that we all share and manifesting the spirit of community, that will make possible to live in Peace, Cooperation and Prosperity.
This change in the mindset of humanity is truly what makes possible the Golden Age here and now, because everything that manifests on Earth begins in consciousness and is created by consciousness. We can create a new reality on Earth, by transcending the consciousness of separation and competition and embrace the will and love that drives us to be more.
