The Divine Qualities of Love and Peace
In this article I am writing about the connection between love and peace, qualities of the 3rd and 6th rays. These qualities are crucial to the way we relate to others and to society.
The Divine Qualities of Love and Peace have no Opposites
The consciousness associated with the separate mind of the ego sees all qualities, including love and peace, in contrast to opposite qualities – love and hate, peace and war.
However, the 7 rays embedded in the creation of our world have no opposites. When people talk about “love versus hate” they are talking about concepts, images created by the linear mind of the ego based on experiences in the material world.
These qualities, which always exist in pairs, one extreme opposite the other, are mere images, from which the separated mind tries to interpret the reality of the divine “rays” or “flames”, which it cannot experience because these flames are in the spiritual vibration and the concepts are created from the densest vibration on earth, through the conceptual mind.
So, we need to recognize this difference: the 7 rays are not concepts created and defined by the mind; they are not the result of the experiences of the separated mind on planet Earth: they are rather divine flames created in the spiritual realm and from which everything that exists on Earth was created.
For every human being on Earth, the spiritual path is meant to be the acquisition of mastery in all seven rays. No being ascends from the earth without attaining this mastery: « All you need in the material universe is all of the seven rays. You can ascend by mastering the seven rays».[1]
The linear mind has created images of love and peace as passive qualities, with a single, static form of expression. But neither love nor peace are passive and static qualities. Each ray has its vibratory variation and variable intensity that moves us to transcend ourselves.
Instead of the concept of ‘peace’ and ‘love’, we must go beyond and directly experience each of these flames. The passive expression of love as ‘kindness’ and peace as ‘passivity’ are perversions of the divine qualities of love and peace.
Neither love nor peace are passive qualities, they are active and dynamic: love and peace are not fixed or static states, they are qualities that are constantly in motion, helping us to transcend a particular state of consciousness at a particular moment.
Life is dynamic in itself but the ego hates change : if we are identified with the ego, and accept that peace and love are passive qualities, we allow ourselves to remain in the status quo, without doing anything to change it. But if we do that, we don’t grow
For example, in a close relationship, if we don’t confront the issues that are causing disharmony because we think we have to ‘keep peace’ with the other person, this is not really peace in the sense of the divine quality.
In Master Paul’s words:«(…) They have made harmony, peacefulness, such a goal of their relationships that it holds back their growth rather than promoting the growth. This is not true peace because true peace does not create a static state of peace on this planet. »[2]
This is not love either, because Love is not a passive quality, Love can have different degrees of intensity. I am quoting Master Paul the Venetian, Chohan of the 3rd ray: « (…)Love, the core of love, is to help people transcend and become more.(…)»[3]
And we can associate ‘service’, one of the qualities of the sixth ray, with them because the qualities of love and peace are active.
Overcoming the challenge of Accusation
On Earth, the blame mentality is a huge challenge, constantly pointing fingers and trying to undermine the efforts of service in society: « How can you be at peace on a planet like earth if the fallen beings can come in and accuse you of something and then you have immediately lost your peace? »
As many people on Earth have had traumatic experiences caused by fallen beings who have tried to undermine their will to be creative on this planet, and are now afraid to express themselves freely, this is a difficult initiation for most.
When they suffered the trauma of the cruel accusations of these beings, they created a self that is constantly judging them and has an imperative need to prove its worth, its abilities in the eyes of others. This self reacts strongly when someone makes an accusation.
This is why one of the fundamental initiations about love and peace is to let go of the illusion that generated the reactive self and the belief that is at its base, and to let that self, die, recognizing its unreality.
The way to transcend this judgmental self is to connect with the I am Presence and take on spiritual identity through the conscious you.
Gradually, as the connection with the I Am Presence becomes stronger, the energy of the self that constantly needs to prove its worth and ability is reduced, and it is possible to feel the Flame of Peace vibrating within the energy field of the being until this self eventually becomes insignificant.
Ideally, there comes a time when we realize that what we do on earth is not ‘about us’, it is about our service to life. Peace manifests in us when we feel our connection to the whole, to all life, through the unconditional love that flows through the divine presence.
When this happens, the self that feels accused becomes completely irrelevant as the unreality that it always was, and the outer self no longer fully controls our mind or sense of identity.
That’s when a being becomes ready to fulfil their divine plan of service, the other quality of the 6th Ray.
Love and Peace in the Manifestation of the Golden Age
We are entering the Age of Aquarius, the age of community and the recognition of human rights. However, the world is going through a crisis in terms of the fundamental qualities of love, peace, service, which are associated with the 6th Ray.
And it is at this point that we must understand that we, as free human beings, have the responsibility to choose and decide what kind of world we want to live in. And to act accordingly, embodying the qualities of love and peace in their spiritual aspect.
We co-create the world we live in because the world reflects the state of collective consciousness at any given moment. Therefore, if we want a world of peace, we must know how to embody that peace; if we want a world of love, we must embody that love.
As we manifest these qualities in our being in a spiritual sense, they will also manifest in the outside world if enough people project them from their own being. And with these qualities the service associated with the 6th Ray of Peace – service to life – will naturally manifest as we feel part of the whole of humanity.
It is up to us to choose to work and live together for the good of all. This will not happen overnight, but gradually we will build a better world for all of us to live in. Building a society of love and peace depends on us and our freedom to want a better world.
