The divine Quality of Power

human power

In this post I am writing about the divine quality of power, a quality of the 1st Ray.

Divine Power is not Moved by Force

On Earth, where the separate mind is dominant, the public in general understand power as domination by force.  This is obvious when we observe the recorded history of empires, through which warriors conquered the right to govern through victory in war and submission of the people.

Conquerors became dominant because, through force, they deposed others from power and seized nations, territories and resources, imposing their right to govern.

But this is not «power» as a divine quality. Divine power comes from unconditional love; but human power comes from the use of force, war, violence.

This human kind of power is so ingrained in the collective consciousness that it is necessary to take an extra- effort to abandon this conception of “power”, as opposed to what we define as “weakness”.

To show the unreality of human power, Master More uses,  in His book[1] the metaphor of an anthill, in which, among all the humble and subordinate ants, there is one that is at the top, the ‘queen’ and has, if one can say so, absolute power over all others. But that «power» is nothing but an illusion: You might then see that this one ant has great power in the anthill. But you, as a human, could take a shovel and within a few minutes you could completely shatter the anthill (…) »[2]

With this illustration, Master More shows how all human power is illusory, because it never stands forever, as we can see in all great empires that existed in Earth’s history, all feel apart and crumbled, disappearing sometime after its creation. Human power is not permanent and always finishes crumbling into the dust of time.

Human Desire of Power

Although historical evidence shows that there is no absolute power on Earth, some are carried away by the desire to rise above others through power. And this can manifest as having some kind of power over others – such as past and current rulers in some nations – power to decide the life or death of other beings, having dominion over great nations, more riches than others, etc.

And this is the desire for power associated with conquest, victory through war, the desire to be the most “powerful” being on earth.

Or it could be the desire for power found in the common human beings, less extreme but who also wants to have more possessions than their neighbor or being superior to this or that one, to demonstrate their value through a more aggressive, more competitive personality, etc.

But one thing is certain, none of these forms of “power” conceived by the separate dualistic mind, is the divine quality of power, which has no opposite, neither on Earth nor outside Earth.

One example of «power» created by the separate mind is the image of an «angry God», using force to punish human beings for their actions, or denying them some compassion or love because «they don’t deserve it».

Another expressive image of this «human power» projected to a divine being, is the image of Archangel Michael, the archangel of the 1st ray, as a warrior, using his sword to destroy the enemies of faith.

Both images were created in the image of human beings, using lower human qualities, and projected to divine beings as if they were mirrors of human beings.

And, as the Masters have been telling us, neither God or the Archangel Michael use force whatsoever, because this is a very low expression of consciousness, totally inadequate to such elevated beings that are moved by unconditional love.

And I allow myself to make a pause, at this point, to tell the reader that I am not saying that God or Archangel Michael are «superior» to human beings, nor even to human beings in a low state of consciousness, as it happens on Earth.

Because everything there is, is created from God’s substance and is, in this perspective, God.  Archangel Michael and God are in a frame of mind where they recognize oneness of all life, and they don’t look at us or other beings as «superior« or inferior» beings.

But we need to stretch our minds to experience and accept this.

Back to our theme of discussion, divine quality of Power is never the same as force of any kind, it is always an expression of love, divine love. Divine power is never the ability to impose ourselves to others and gain some advantage for us through it.

The Spiritual Path is not Intended to Acquire Special Powers

That’s why Master More, Chohan of the 1st ray, insists on showing the illusions about spiritual students wanting to have special powers, or what He calls “delusions of grandeur”. These come from the Ego, the mortal self, that is desperate to demonstrate its worth on Earth.

It is the ego that uses the separate mind to position itself as superior to others, as deserving to have more than others because it sees itself as separate from other parts of life.

But as spiritual seekers, we gradually stop identifying with the external identity and don’t desire human power: « We have no desire to raise our students up to some superior status according to the standards on earth for what is power or what is special ability. We desire our students to be the open doors for true power. »[3]

«True power» however, does not use force. True power is creativity and free will. True power is to be the open door to: « allow the powers from your I AM Presence to stream through you».[4]

Master Jesus illustrated this, when He walked on Earth when He said, about His performed miracles: » I of my own self [the external self-] can do nothing is the father [the I am Presence] who does the work».

This may seem to be the opposite of power in the optics of the separate mind of the ego. But, from a spiritual perspective, this is the true power, because «power» is one quality of the light streaming through the I am Presence to our 4 material bodies and into the world of form.

It is the light coming from our I am Presence- spiritual light- that can create something permanent, capable of resisting the «force of the mother» or entropy, of all material systems. And the reason why it can resist is because its nature is spiritual, not material.

Furthermore, this spiritual light tis the only one capable of creating something new, creating what the Masters call «the abundant life», because its source is the Christ mind, one with all life, not the separate mind of the ego that can only use material energy already present on Earth (including psychic energy).

Human beings can feel powerless on Earth, when they are trapped in the separate mind or ego, but, when we focus our attention in the spiritual mind, our conscious you, we never feel powerless, because we can co-create our reality and help to co-create a better reality for all.

And, at this point, we are at Peace, because we transcend all separate concepts and visions of the world, based in the comparison mind. The Ego can’t feel peace, there is always something else  it covets for itself.

But our spiritual identity focus on oneness of the Christ mind and there is nothing it lacks, because it is one with the fulness of the All.
