The Need to Overcome Anger Against God- 1
In this post I am building upon a statement made by Mother Mary [1]:« Most people on this planet have a deep sense of anger or injustice towards God, (…) You need to forgive God for any false image of God that might have been put upon you. »
I will also follow some teachings of Lord Maitreya’ s book [2] to discuss the need to overcome the anger against God.
Human Beings Were Originally Connected to God and the I am Presence
The idea that humans were originally connected to God and the I am Presence seems strange, since most are identified with the linear mind developed after the ‘fall’ and we have become accustomed to seeing ourselves as beings separate from each other and from the objects and beings of the material world, which our consciousness perceives at a distance.
The “conscious self” became a subject closed in its interiority, although it can externalize itself by focusing its attention on the ‘outside world’ of objects, but both are seen as distinct and can only be related, we believe, and it is believed that the subject and objects in the world relate only through thought, that creates concepts about the world.
Likewise, God is seen as a distant being, about whom, as most philosophers have stated, we can only form incomplete ideas but can never have direct experience. Some have even believed that it is impossible to’ know ‘God because we cannot have any (sensory) experience of God as, for example, defended the philosopher Kant.
Others even argue that believing in God is the result of humanity’s mental childishness and that we do not need God, as we have science to help us solve all the problems of existence.
But how did we arrive at these beliefs that remain in force to this day, in which many believe that God does not exist, except as a concept invented by humanity to exorcise many of their fears about the world in which we live and where, they argue, we are alone and left to ourselves?
How did we come from knowing that we are one with our divine source- God, the creator- and our divine individuality- the I am Presence- How did we arrive at the denial of the existence of God and the belief that we are a mere result of chance, in the evolution process, that we are the result of a natural lottery that, by mere chance, from the initial disorder, produced the organization of life?
This is the question I want to clarify now.
Where does the Anger Against God Come From?
The Dualistic Consciousness
To answer this question, I find Lord Maitreya’s book very enlightening because it goes to the original cause of the anger against God. We learn from Master Maitreya that we came to the world of form a long time ago, to experiment with freedom.
Freedom gives any human being the possibility of choosing anything he wants, even to go against God’s laws for the universe. This is allowed because if we couldn’t do this, we wouldn’t be free. The purpose of being incarnated in the world of form is to experience all the principles used by God to create this universe and the planet where we live.
But, as Lord Maitreya tells us, we are not left alone without guidance, when we come to the world of form as new life streams. We go to a protected environment in which we have all the necessary assistance from our Masters who even, in the distant past, took on the karma that was caused by the less constructive decisions we made, due to the lack of discernment.
At that initial point we only had a ‘point -like’ of Christ consciousness and, therefore, we needed guidance.
However, because they were free, some refused the help of the Masters, allowing themselves to be influenced by the serpentine mind, as told in the biblical book of Genesis and still others decided to remain in the dualistic mind that should only be temporary, turning their backs on the Masters.
Our spiritual Masters tell us that this began in the 4th sphere and continued until the 7th sphere where we live. Some of the beings that chose separation in the 4th sphere, didn’t want to return to the Christ Consciousness, and fell into the 5tht sphere, after that in the 6th and now are also in the 7th sphere.
Other beings, as we are told, fell in the subsequent spheres from the 5th and the 6th. And one thing is common to all of them: they blame God for their misery and suffering.
The fallen beings and others blame God for giving Freedom to the newly created beings, arguing that freedom is the cause of the fall and subsequent suffering of those who have fallen. I already wrote about this; you can read it here. But what they can’t see is that their suffering was caused by themselves.
Why is that? Well, when a being enters in the separate mind, the duality consciousness, it forgets its true nature as a spiritual being and begins to see himself as a purely mortal being. This gradually closes his possibilities of experiencing the ‘abundant life’, because it closes the chakras to the light flowing from the I am Presence.
The original beings created to inhabit Earth were co-creators through the light flowing from the I am Presence, the light coming from the spiritual realm. This spiritual light was all they needed to experience the abundant life on the planet.
But when they deprived themselves of receiving this light from their spiritual source, they came to experience a sense of lack, trial, scarcity, because they reduced the amount of spiritual light available to co-create their living conditions.
Furthermore, when they entered in the dualistic mind that lowered their level of consciousness to critical lower levels, they also modified the living conditions of the planet that has undergone changes that have reduced the number of resources available.
As human consciousness has moved further and further away from the unity of the Christ mind and has become increasingly self-centered and selfish, did also increase the feeling that life on Earth is a struggle, and more strain is needed to survive.
At the same time, when humanity entered more and more into the mind of duality, it became more difficult to get out of this mental disposition and to recognize that there’s always the alternative of returning to the one mind of Christ consciousness.
Humanity has fallen into catch 22, from which it cannot get out without help: it accepts only the linear mind that gives knowledge through conceptual images or concepts at a distance, and loses awareness that this is its own doing, it is its own choice.
Only the spiritual mind, through the conscious you, can have a direct experience of God; the separate mind of the ego can only form a distant image of God that it cannot experience directly.
And so, religions on Earth, dominated by the linear mind, formed the image of an angry and punitive God, who punishes them for not complying with the rules supposedly created by God, by increasing the strain of living.[3]
But like Master Maitreya tells us, it was humankind that created all the suffering they experiment of Earth: « And since they experienced life as a struggle, they created the image of an angry God who is seeking to punish them for their sins by making them struggle for everything. In reality, this human struggle was not created by God, and it is not God’s punishment. It is an entirely self-created condition. »[4]
