The Origin of the Birth Trauma on Earth
In this post I am writing about the origin of the birth trauma on earth that created the “primal self”. I am following Master More’s discourse in the book Healing Your Spiritual Traumas. [1].
The Role of the Fallen Beings in the Birth Trauma
At one point in Earth’s history, the fallen beings were allowed to incarnate on Earth to counterbalance the passivity of the original inhabitants, most of whom didn’t want to grow or transcend themselves, leaving the Earth in a state of entropy that could lead to the destruction of the planet.
Some beings from other planets have also chosen to incarnate on Earth and are known as ‘avatars’. When they came to Earth, they were at a higher level of development than the original inhabitants of Earth, even if they weren’t at the highest levels.
The fallen beings who were on Earth – both on the physical plane and on the other material planes of Earth – emotional, mental, etheric or identity – saw the arrival of the Avatars as a great threat to their domination of the planet.
That’s why they destined the beings who were incarnating for the first time on Earth to have such a traumatic experience that it would deprive them of the possibility of spiritual growth and would trap them in a real trap that would change their sense of identity.
Let’s look at Master More’s words when he talks about this shocking experience: «There is not one person who has taken embodiment (after the earth started its downward spiral) who has not experienced a severe shock at being in embodiment for the first time. (…)I am talking about a birth trauma of taking embodiment for the first time».[2]
The experience of incarnating on Earth, when the fallen beings were in control of the planet, largely because many of the original inhabitants remained passive and refused to take responsibility for their lives, was therefore extremely traumatic and gave rise to a “birth trauma”, the cause of which was an extreme experience of torture, physical pain of unimaginable intensity resulting in the creation of a self to deal with this experience.
The Withdrawal of the Spiritual Identity and the Birth of the Primal Self
Neither the original inhabitants of Earth, nor the Avatars, had been subjected to such a severe experience of physical abuse, of torture to the highest possible level, before meeting the fallen beings on the planet, as happened when they first incarnated on Earth.
This experiment was a deliberate strategy by the fallen ones who wanted absolute control of the planet. These beings maintain a hierarchy amongst themselves, with those who have the most power being on the upper material plane of the Earth, the lower part of the identity plane.
Some of them know when a being is incarnating for the first time on earth and give instructions to those below to subject that being to the most traumatic experience it can suffer, taking into account its personal characteristics and identity, in order to produce in that being a state of shock so strong that it is incapable of not reacting with the feeling that “what happened to it should never happen”».
This reaction of pure shock and fear creates not only the birth trauma but also the self that reacts to this extreme experience. Note that if the being subjected to such an experience of physical abuse had not reacted, the primal self would not have been created, for the spiritual self does not react to anything in the material world.
But the experience of pain was so extreme that no one incarnating on Earth for the first time could experience it without reacting.[3]
The Masters have no censorship on the creation of this reactive self, and precisely because they have had this experience, they only want to help us overcome it.
Because it was deliberately designed by fallen beings to keep us trapped in the trap to ensure that no one on earth would be able to challenge their power on Earth, because they would be trapped in a false sense of identity associated with pain and the fear of suffering, that is the mortal self.
This experience of birth trauma created a rift that split the sense of identity and linked it to the belief that it was impossible to be on the earthly plane without being affected by what happened on that plane.
What this meant in practice was the forgetting of spiritual identity as the true identity and the acceptance that “we are mortal beings”, thus abandoning the sense of “I am a spiritual being”. This ‘I’ was replaced by ‘I am a mortal being because I can suffer such terrible pain in my physical body: «(…) you forget that you are a spiritual being who cannot be affected by what happens in the physical octave«.[4]
The Path to Overcoming Birth Trauma and the Primal Self
It is important to understand at this point that human beings are not left on their own to resolve their birth trauma. The Masters of humanity, who also went through this experience when they incarnated on earth, are always available to us.
However, we have to do our part in the process: Whichever masters are close to your heart, we are here to assist you with this. (…) There does come a point when we cannot assist you anymore, where you must take that step on your own, that final step of confronting your own demons, as the popular saying goes, and seeing that they are not real»[5]
Our part in this process is to first recognize that we are not the self reacting to the outside world, we are more than that self, we are spiritual beings. And then we have to accept going through the traumatic experience again, facing the fear and the terrifying memory of that experience.
Any Master we feel closest can help us in this experience of ‘reliving the birth trauma’ to release all the energy accumulated in the emotional body associated with it.
But we are the ones who must make the decision to want to relive that experience, and we are the ones who have to recognize what belief made us react to what the fallen beings did, because the responsibility for creating this self that results from that experience is ours.
We recognize this when the spiritual identity regains control of our mind and we say, ‘I am not this self, I am more than this, I am a spiritual being”. And we let that self, die.[6]
This is not easy to achieve because fallen beings have made us believe that if we experience this trauma again, we will die: « This is not easy to achieve because fallen beings have made us believe that if we experience this trauma again, we will die».[7]
In addition, what they have also managed to ‘plant’ in the reactive self, which is the ‘primal self’, is the idea that our mission is to try to prevent fallen beings from doing to other beings what they have done to us, which makes this self believe that it has an epic mission to fulfil.
Fighting fallen beings to free the Earth from their influence is another trap to prevent human beings from growing spiritually. But this is a dead end, as the Masters explain to us, and will only prevent us from growing spiritually by trapping us in the mortal self.
The only way to truly help the Earth and its inhabitants is to grow spiritually, thereby raising the collective consciousness of the planet:
« What the fallen beings have projected upon you is that you are here to overcome, to banish the forces that exposed you to this trauma so that other people are not exposed to it. They project upon you that you have to engage in some kind of struggle, some kind of battle, with these external forces».[8]
And this is undoubtedly the most difficult lesson for the inhabitants of the Earth to learn if they are to overcome the birth trauma and the primal self».

[3] There comes that point where the fallen beings have exposed you to such trauma that they force you to experience the full pain of it. You cannot remain non-attached. here is that state of total pain that we have all experienced the first time we took embodiment on this planet. This becomes a wound in your being, a wound in your soul, in your four lower bodies. It is a pain that seemed overwhelming to you at the time, and it was overwhelming to you, given your level of consciousness at the time», Id., p. 42
