We Grow When we Love Something Higher than the Ego
In this post I am writing about the connection between the 1st ray and Love and how «we must love something higher than the ego, if we are going to grow spiritually. In Master More’s words: «(…)you have a love for your own creative expression, for your own higher being, for your own creative potential.»[1]
I wrote in a previous post that the ego is not creative, furthermore, the conditions and limitations accepted by the ego are what stops and blocks our creativity and possibility of being more.
If we are going to grow, we need to look inside ourselves and accept to look at the limitations and conditions that are holding us back. We also need to love something more than the fear of change, the fear that keeps the limitations in our lives.
And what can help us with this is love: we love more our spiritual identity then we love the external self; we love more our potential do be creative and a real co-creator, then we fear to be wrong, to be challenged by others, etc.
And, after we recognize this, we need to take a decision of transcending every aspect of out external self that is blocking our potential as spiritual beings and act accordingly to transform ourselves.
And love is the drive that can guide us . Master More says: « But you see, you cannot make that decision until you have experienced at least a glimpse of unconditional love.»[2]
The Experience of Unconditional love Triggers Spiritual Growth
There’s something we must admit at once: the ego is only moved by fear. And if we don’t experience anything either than fear, we can’t switch from the ego’s mind to the Christ Mind, because we will not have any reference of its reality.
Therefore, we can say that there is an experience needed, before we can even think of wanting something different from what we know through our external self’s experience of the world, we need to love something higher than the ego.
The external self only looks outside , to the matter world; we need to have an experience of looking inside, not just to our thoughts connected to the brain and the experiences in the matter world, but an experience that comes from inside of us , from our spiritual identity, our I am Presence, localized in the matter realm as the conscious you, the pure awareness of the Presence.
The I am Presence is the Source of Our Creativity
What this means is that we must connect, even briefly, with our I am Presence, before we can get some measure of our true potential, by feeling the Love that our I am Presence sends to us. This love is unconditional, and it is what drives us to want to be more than what we wanted to be before.
This allows us to admit also that our I am Presence is the real source of every creative desire we have – we have desires coming from the connection to the ego, through the energies stored in our emotional bodies, but these are not creative desires.
The reason is simple: the ego is moved by the separate mind that uses force to get something it wants from the external world, the matter world. But force can’t be creative: « (…) becoming more is a creative process, and a creative process cannot be forced. »[3]
We can only be creative through love, unconditional love. And to achieve this capacity of being creative, we must first change our sense of identity: from the self that sees itself as separate from others and from all life to the self that knows it is part of oneness.
Because creativity only exists in connection with all life, as it is the fruit of unconditional love,does not choose one over another, does not compare or establish levels of superiority or inferiority among the parts of life.
When we love something higher than the ego or the sense of security of the ego, Love is the driving force that accelerates us to be more.
The I am Presence, Our Divine Plan and the Gift we Accepted to Bring to Earth
The Masters told us that not all human beings on Earth have a divine plan, chosen before the incarnation process. Some people are at a very low level of consciousness and, therefore, are simply attracted to a new incarnation through the karmic process.
But the people we find within the spiritual seekers, with a higher level of consciousness- not the highest, necessarily, but with enough level of consciousness to become spiritual seekers, they have a divine plan, that they agree with, before the incarnation.
The choice of what is contained in the divine plan is not made by the external self- the ego- but by the spiritual identity, the conscious you and the I am Presence, in the spiritual realm, when there is a greater sense of awareness than when we are incarnated on Earth.
The reason why there is such a difference are all the illusions we assume, from the 144th level of consciousness to the 48th level of consciousness in the incarnation process, necessary to accept life on Earth as something real, so we can interact with Earth and learn from this environment of experimentation, and all the illusions we accepted after that.
When we make our choices before coming to Earth, we have a greater understanding, we are not limited by these illusions, we have the awareness of our spiritual identity.
But when we descend to incarnation we forget, at least for a part of our life, what is contained in our divine plan. It is our I am Presence that releases, during our lifetime, the corresponding part of the divine plan for each phase of our life.
But our divine plan is not a rigid structure, nor is it forced upon us. After we are living on Earth, we must make choices about the fulfillment of our divine plan, and we can choose differently from what we accepted, before coming to Earth. We never lose our freedom of choice.
Our divine plan contains a unique gift, from our I am Presence, that has the purpose of helping the whole life of the planet to elevate at some level. But our I am Presence can’t express its creativity directly in the world of form.
And that’s why it created an extension of itself – the conscious you– that, in fact, is the omega aspect of the Presence, the conscious you is the Presence, not all the Presence, but a localized aspect of the Presence, so it is not separated from the Presence.
However, while it is connected to the 4 material bodies in the matter world, the conscious you- that is pure awareness– can identify with anything, including the external self, and that’s what happened for most people on Earth, since a long time ago.
But although the conscious you never becomes the external self- it can jump out of its identification at any time- it is still free to choose, even against the I am Presence’s desire and what is registered in the divine plan.
Of course, this doesn’t happen when the conscious you is united with the I am Presence, where it becomes the open door, on Earth, for the fulfillment of our divine plan for this life , when we love something higher than the ego.
It is necessary to be at the 96th level of consciousness and beyond to be fully the open door for the Presence to express its gift on Earth and be completely one with our divine plan.
Our I am Presence has a unique individuality – our individuality- so, its gift is also unique, and it is different for every human being. When we feel completely the unconditional love of our divine identity, and have our 4 material bodies purified and without any pull on us, that’s when we can fulfill our divine plan and be completely creative.
