When the Conscious you Allowed Itself to be Captured by the Ego
In this post I am writing about how the conscious you allowed Itself to be captured by the ego. This is an important issue of spiritual psychology in the spiritual path.
When Human Beings on Earth didn’t Want to be Creative
The Masters have told us that In the remote past, there were many ’rounds’ of beings that inhabited the earth, in a period of time that goes far beyond recorded history. The Earth has 4 material planes, with different levels of vibration: the most subtle is the etheric or ‘identity’ plane, followed by the mental plane, the emotional plane and the last, the physical plane.
The beings of the 1st ’round’ inhabited the etheric plane, those of the 2nd inhabited the mental plane, and those of the 3rd inhabited the emotional plane. Only the 4th ’round’ inhabited the densest plane on Earth, the physical plane.
Therefore, the first 3 «rounds» didn’t inhabit the physical realm of Earth, they came first to the identity realm, then the second came to the mental realm, the 3rd came to the emotional realm and only the 4th came to the physical realm. These ’rounds’ lasted a very long period, while the planet was not yet able to allow the incarnation of self-conscious beings on the physical planet.
When the physical plane was finally ready to receive self-conscious life, new beings came to inhabit it. But this earth’s environment was much denser than the previous ones in vibration, then the other 3 realms of Earth and it was much easier now for the beings to forget that they were spiritual beings in a physical body.
I explained in another post how the incarnation process occurs and how every person takes several illusions from the 144th level to the 48th level of consciousness in this process.
I also explained why this is necessary: the purpose of incarnating in the world of form is to experiment with freedom, it is, like Master Serapis said in a recent dictation, to« experience all the principles used by the creator to create this world.»
And, by experiencing it, the aim is for the being to grow in self-awareness until it has nothing else to learn in this environment and ascend from Earth, returning to the spiritual realm from which it came.
This process of learning and growth is only possible if the being who incarnates has a perception that the environment in which he finds himself, is real. Therefore, it temporarily adopts an identity associated with the 4 material bodies, the mortal self or what commonly is known as ‘soul’.
If you do not believe that what you experience is real, you cannot grow, because you do not feel part of the world in which you live.
This is why the conscious you, in its descent into the world of form, goes, level by level, from the144th to the 48th of consciousness, forming beliefs that “veil” its true identity. It is a natural process that occurs in all beings that descend into the world of form to experience it and grow by experimenting with freedom.
However, the freedom given to these new beings allows them to choose any experience they wish to live even when it goes against the design of creation, which is to grow until reaching the level of consciousness of the creator itself (not on Earth, but long after ascending from Earth, because the creative movement to be more is inherent to all life).
And although most of the beings from the previous 3 rounds ascended from Earth, a great number of the 4th round of beings living on Earth decided that they didn’t want to change, they didn’t want to be creative by using their spiritual abilities to transcend themselves.
The Masters say that just a few of these inhabitants of Earth decided to be creative and transcend themselves but they were not enough to suspend the effects of most human beings not wanting to grow.
If nothing was done, the Earth would have been destroyed because most beings on Earth formed a closed system, and this activated the 2nd law of thermodynamics- entropy- and the result would be that the planet would enter disorder like any system that does not renew its energy and would fall apart.
To balance this tendency and save both the human beings and the Earth, several life streams came to earth: avatars (beings from other planets) and the fallen beings.
But the biggest problem remained because most Earth’s inhabitants did not want to take responsibility for their lives, preferring to delegate this responsibility to others.
So, because the main characteristic of spiritual nature is creativity and the drive to be more, which these beings rejected, gradually the conscious you, our spiritual identity, began to focus more and more of its attention on the mortal self, until it completely identified with it.
From then on, the mortal- self assumed total control over the minds of these beings: this is how the conscious you Allowed Itself to be captured by the ego.
Overcome the Ego to Unveil the Conscious You
The Masters taught that we never lose the ability to experience the oneness of the Christ mind, no matter how deep we enter in duality.
And it is so because, either we spontaneously have an experience of the Christ-mind through our “Christ-self” (which is designed for each of us, when we are in the separate mind to counterbalance the duality consciousness), or because one of the Masters helps us “to see” something with the mind of Christ.
When we reach a certain level of consciousness – close to the 96th level of consciousness – we begin to experience more and more of our conscious you, our spiritual identity.
However, for many lifetimes the ego has been dominant, having transformed into a huge conglomerate of ’selves ’related to the experience in the world of form. Each of these selves is a true prison that hides the spiritual identity.
This is why we must get rid of a good number of them until we can experience the conscious you directly.
Gradually, as we progress on the spiritual path, the conscious you increasingly takes command, as we focus more and more on our spiritual identity, and the strength of the ego and its ability to control our mind and consciousness decreases at the same rate.
And there is a period, the duration of which can vary greatly from person to person, in which we are able to have genuine experiences of Christ consciousness through the conscious you, connecting us to the I am Presence. And we can have real mystic experiences in this period.
However, the ego is still very strong and we must be aware that, often, after the moment of the Christ experience, the ego regains control without we notice it.
And it is so subtle the change that, when we often believe that we are still experiencing with the spiritual mind, the ego, in a desperate attempt to regain control, interprets what we experience in a Christ experience (that is beyond words) using the linear mind and the concepts of that mind, without us realizing what is happening.
And, since the ego keeps the sense of continuity in our consciousness, we are not aware that, when the mind begins to conceptualize what we’ve just lived, it is no longer the «spirit» expressing itself through us, it is the ego. Without noticing, once again, the conscious you allowed Itself to be captured by the ego
This struggle of the ego to pass itself off as the conscious you continue through the levels of consciousness above the 96th, and probably very close to the 144th and this has to do with the expression used by Master Gautama about the ‘demons of Mara’ and the temptations of the «demons of Mara» or what is referred in the Bible as the ‘’temptations of Jesus on the desert”.
The Demons of Mara are Internal Illusions of the Ego
In the highest levels of consciousness on an unnatural planet like Earth, fallen in separation and duality, the ego, the separate mind, tries to take dominion of everyone’s life, by pursuing the desire to become immortal.
This is an impossible dream, but the ego can’t see or accept this and uses all beliefs we have left in our 4 material bodies to keep us trapped in the mortal plane of duality. The attachments we still have will exert gravitational force on us, in a true struggle for control and domination of our identity.
The Ego will seek out what were our greatest desires in the world of form, to tell us that we cannot abandon them, thus pulling us to the Earth plane.
And it can become difficult to recognize the stratagem if we do not continually look at the contents that appear in our consciousness, projected not only by the ego but also by the hidden forces of this world, the fallen beings who see each being at higher levels of consciousness as a threat to their dominance over humanity in general.
The spiritual path in this way, is not only focused on us, as beings in transformation, but also on the interactions we create with the Earth and the beings that inhabit it and that form a complex web that we must undo, little by little, always being aware of how the conscious you allowed Itself to be captured by the ego to free our consciousness from the prison of the mortal-self.
